Why this exists
The information farmers need is out there — but it's scattered across government pages, buried in jargon, or sitting on the website of someone trying to sell you a tank. There wasn't one place that simply explained it, plainly and without an angle. So we built one. The aim is to be the first place you check and the last word you need — the calculators, the rules for your nation, what's changing, and what funding's about, all in language that makes sense on a wet Tuesday in the yard.
How we keep it accurate
Everything here is built on the official sources — Defra and GOV.UK, the Environment Agency, AHDB, SEPA and Farming & Water Scotland, and the published regulations themselves. Figures are sourced and shown. Pages are dated, and updated as the rules move — which, right now, they're doing a lot. Where something isn't yet confirmed, we say so rather than guess. And if we get something wrong, we'd genuinely rather know — tell us and we'll fix it.
What we promise
Who's behind it
We keep the focus on the information, not on who's behind it. The point of this site is that the advice stands on its sources and its accuracy — not on a name, a brand or a logo. It's run independently by people who know the sector well, and kept free of any commercial interest so that what you read is the straight version, full stop.
